One male one female, signed Sokolac and a guy headed towards Han Pijesak took us. This gas station might not have shade but has plenty of pull off space and cars can see you clearly

Direction Zvornik/Belgrade

Signed Pale and Sokolac to get a ride to the Han Derventa junction. Waited for 90min before a guy to Pale took me (one female)

No shade here but in the AM you face away from the sun

I just arrived from Zagreb and went to the Croatian border (where the cars go) where I talked to a police officer that told me to take the pedestrian way (basically you go left before the customs and go for a specific border control for pedestrians on the left). She was nice but I do not think they would accept you to hitchhike there. I crossed the Croatian border in 5mn, there was no queue (advantage of hitchhiking a border versus having a car or being in a bus). Then I went on the bridge and started to hitchhike. The cars go very slow there. I had a cardboard sign "Sarajevo". A lady took me straight to Sarajevo !

A lot of traffic, used a sign SARAJEVOA, managed to get a ride somewhat quickly. Easy to stop for the cars on the roadside, also great shadows!

Busy traffic, we wanted to head to Mostar, with a sign Mostar we eventually got a right to Hadzici, as we panicked haha. Eventually worked out for us, but would not recommend. This spot is not great but not terrible, cars have plenty of space to pull over, but rarely did the drivers react to us. (I guess they were mad cause Bosnia got eliminated from the world cup the night before.) Not everyone is going to Mostar/south, so expect to wait a little - be patient, unlike us!

We got a ride with a sign Mostar pretty quickly but the spot is mid - cars going fast, lots of cars going just locally.

Not loads of space for cars to pull over but they are going slow and can see you clearly. We used a sign Travnik. We were very lucky and got a ride almost instantly, but I think it should always be quite quick to get a ride to Travnik from here as all the cars are going in that direction even though the amount of traffic isnt huge. The lovely people that picked us up were so kind that they drove us all the way to Sarajevo when it wasnt even their original destination. We were a couple.

A nice lady took me outside of the city. A lot of local traffic but a good place to get out from the city with a lot of place for cars to stop.

If for some reason you ever arrive here its a good spot. Cars dot go that fast and a lot of space. Also kids there were really interested what i was doing :DHDHHDHD. Guy eho droped me off also took other old guy hitchhiking but he didnt spek any english so it was a bit akward to hitchhike becaue you should get the spot forst? But he got it becuse the car only had one space. But not long after him i got a ride also. And before that i think one woman showed me a middle finger while driving past and almost hit cyclists while doing that :DHDHDHDH. I have no idea why she did that. Kreizi

Good spot because cars are not that fast and wuite a lot of them. At the time of writing the road to foca is kinda closed but i still did this road for some reason. So can be even better traffic. Easy to stop but no shade :(((

We first waited for a long time at the gas station before this spot, and then moved to the chicken restaurant at the location to take a break after 90 minutes of waiting. We ate our lunch and asked around a bit with the other people in the restaurant. One of them said they can take us to Foča and ended our wait. He was a fast driver, so I'm pretty sure we were at least 30 min faster than anticipated.

Also: I highly recommend the restaurant! Great food at very affordable prices.

We first tried hitchhiking at the intersection after the gas station because cars are relatively slow there, and then moved to the gas station itself to ask around a bit. After 30-40 min, a guy picked us up and drove us to a better spot after the airport. By coincidence, it was the same guy who picked me up 10 days earlier to drive me into Sarajevo. Funny how that happens some times!

Probably it's the best to go to the end of the city to avoid local traffic. Previous driver left me near that place and it was good. Actually my driver was going to Modrica and the best way is via Zivnica, but he changed route for Sarajevo for me.

la sola loko kiu funkciis de ĉiuj 3 markitaj ĉi tie. Nu, la bushaltejon tie mi provis dum la nokto, do ĝi ne gravas tro multe. Sed ĉi tie ne estas tiel facile halti kiel tie. Neniu dubo. Tamen dumtage estas tro multaj homoj haltantaj tie.
